04/29/2007         Brewers Win Two Exhibition Games

MONROE, WI -- The Monroe Brewers got off to a good start by defeating Evansville 8-0 and then Pine Bluff 3-2 (in a 6 inning game due to weather).

Other things noticed were:

Jeff Newcomer is the best short stop in the league, Lon Scheuerell is slow, Mike Marti is tall, Joel Wild is short, Brett

Janecke has a beard, Kyle Kubatzke wears bell-bottom game pants, Adam

Siegenthaler is fast, Justin Hahn runs 10 miles before games, Kyle Giesler

thinks he can steal bases, and Rooney Janecke is great, as usual. Other than the

obvious things, the Brewers looked solid defensively and pitching looked solid

as well.  At this point, the Brewers need to focus their efforts on the base

paths and the sticks.
